This picture shows a 'ghost' lollipop that washed up on a British beach - with the sweet dissolved but the plastic wrapper still perfectly intact.

Toni Dowrick was conducting a beach clean when she made the discovery and described it was one of the stranger finds she had ever made.

The short video shows the plastic wrapper, now completely see-through, wrapped around the plastic stick on Pentewan Sands, near St Austell, Cornwall.

Toni shared the video of the Chupa Chups lollipop on Twitter to make others aware, and one follower described it as a "worrying crystal ball".
