Workers Scale Building Without Safety Gear
Construction workers pull their lift manually without safety equipment to reach the balcony of a high-rise apartment in Paranaque City, the Philippines on October 16.
A local, who does not want to be named, saw the two workers struggling with their lift and filmed the incident. He said: "I feel tired just by watching them. Working like that is not only tiring, it is also dangerous."
Working with no safety equipment has become a common practice among minimum wage labourers and contractual workers in the Philippines despite the construction industry safety and health laws in the country.
