A car narrowly escaped being flattened by a shipping container after it fell from a truck on a highway in eastern China.

The CCTV video, filmed in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province on November 29, shows an intermodal container dropping from the red truck after it ran over a tyre that fell from a truck in front.

A white car driving past narrowly avoided being flattened by the falling intermodal container.

According to reports, the tyre that fell from the blue truck was a spare, but the truck driver did not know of the incident until the police contacted him.

The red truck driver admitted that he did not fix the intermodal container properly after being asked by police officers.

The case is being investigated, reports said.

2019年11月29日上午10点30分许，甬台温高速台州境内上演了一场现实版的“死神来了”。主车道上，一辆蓝色集装箱车上的备胎突然掉落，后方的红色半挂车躲闪不及从轮胎上压过，车上的集装箱顺势侧翻到超车道。



就在此时，有一辆小车从超车道上超车，与侧翻而下的集装箱“擦肩而过”。两者间的最近距离不足一米，哪怕慢半秒钟，小车都在劫难逃。

在事故发生后，台州高速交警指挥中心立即指令吴岙枢纽实施卡口，派遣警车、施救车辆前往现场。拖车到达现场后，将集装箱拖至超车道，现场恢复单车道通行。吊车到达后，将集装箱重新吊至半挂车上，现场恢复正常通行，整个救援过程历时一小时。



事故撤离后，民警向张某询问起事故的原因。张某说道：我当时跟在一辆蓝色箱体半挂车后面，跟车的距离有三四十米。突然前车上突然掉下一个轮胎，我来不及避让压了上去，没想到集装箱就从车上翻滚下来。

于是民警询问张某：你的半挂车挂钩是否按规定固定好？张某支支吾吾回答：集装箱的挂钩有四个，我只固定了对角的两个。



经调查，备胎就是鲍某车上掉下来的，民警联系到蓝色集装箱车主鲍某，鲍某却说对这起因为自己车上掉落的备胎而引发的事故一无所知。目前事故仍在进一步调查当中。
