Footage shows hundreds of green iguanas gather together for their meal time inside one of the reptile enclosures in Chiapas, Mexico on April 12.

Caretaker Franco Flores, who works at the Uma La Cabana wildlife management, said that they feed the iguanas a mixture of moringa leaves, bean leaves, and ripe mangoes.

The facility was founded in 2006 and currently houses 27, 200 green iguanas. Iguana meat has historically been a part of the culinary traditions of Mexico and other parts of central America.

Franco said: ''The iguanas' favourite time of the day is lunch. They love eating their daily meals.''
