Chinese sanitation workers afraid of being fined use brooms to knock petals down from trees
Sanitation workers afraid of being fined used brooms to knock down petals from trees in central China.
In the video, shot in the city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province on April 17, two sanitation workers used brooms to hit the trees.
As some of the petals were close to falling off, the cleaners beat the bushes so they would fall off while they were on shift.
According to the sanitation workers, if they could not clean the falling petals on the ground in time, they would be fined 100yuan. But their salary is only 70yuan to 80yuan a day.
The problem has been reported to the relative department, reports said.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
