Wearing a mask and by maintaining the social distancing farmers started their Agricultural works for the next season on May Day.
This was witnessed in Aayakudi a village near Aranthangai area, Pudhukottai district of Tamilnadu.
The farmers of Aayakudi village has started the farming works for the summer season. Due to the Corona pandemic the farmers were asked to wear masks during he agricultural activity and also to maintain the social distancing by the Government of India.
Obeying the rules levied by the government the farmers started their field works as the got a good spells of summer rains.
The first offered their prayers to the Sun God and started their works with a kolavi(a noise made by women by rotating their tongue). Then the bullocks were used for ploughing the field the they showed the paddy.
