majestic griffon vultures seen in swiss Alps
the griffon vulture does not live permanently in Switzerland but comes to the swiss Alps every summer for just a few months. Otherwise they live in Spain and southern France.
They are huge birds, with a wingspan reaching up to 2.80m .
Here I was hiking in the mountains near Conthey in the swiss Alps when suddenly three griffon vultures appeared up close.
