A hungry lizard can't wait to eat its meal so it tries to open the lunchbox even before its owner had a chance to feed him.

The four-year-old pet Bells forest dragon lizard named Signy was recorded ravenously tucking into its food in Blackpool, Lancashire, on July 1.

The lizard's owner, who also runs Nature by Design along with several other people, said she adores reptiles and wants to let people understand the incredible species.

She said: "I hope one day to build my own reptile conservation and rescue centre. Our group has 18 reptiles from eight different species and they used to keep reticulated pythons, Burmese, Cuban false chameleons as well as tarantulas and centipedes.''
