This is the hilarious moment a hiker screamed after discovering a giant grasshopper clinging to her back while playing in a waterfall.

Footage shows the holidaymaker carefully stepping across slippery rocks towards a friend posing for pictures in Tak province, Thailand.

Her other companions, who were taking photos, spotted the large insect on her buttocks and immediately shouted warnings on August 12.

Moments later, the unsuspecting tourist turned around and saw the insect, prompting her to shriek in fear.

Panicking, she squatted into the water and tried to shake it off by dipping her lower back. However, the more she attempted to submerge the insect, the tighter it clung on.

The filmer said: 'One of our tour guides eventually rushed over and carefully removed the insect from her. She was fine.'
