Diligent Spider Repairs Web Damaged By Storm
Amazing footage shows a spider restoring parts of its web that were damaged by strong winds during a storm.
The video was taken on June 20 in front of Jaclyn McClain's house in Austin, Texas.
She first found the spider on her patio before the storm on June 19 then checked on it again after the torrential weather.
Jaclyn said: "I placed her in my corn plant, and I thought she went away. I discovered she had relocated to the corner of my patio door. We had a real nasty storm blow right over us around 6 am, and at 9 I was able to capture footage of her fixing her web."
Orb-weaver spiders, usually found in warmer regions, are noted for the impressive webs they weave.
