The artistes took to make the idol of Lord Ganesha (Hindu God Resembling with the head of an elephant) in the shape of Doctor ahead of the Indian Festival Ganesh Chaturthi in Bengaluru, Karnataka in Southern India.
The idols of Lord Ganesha were made to wear lab coats to give them a look of doctors.
The artistes believed that Lord Ganesha is a symbol of strength, hope and is known to bring lives of people to a better state by becoming a rescuer.
Hence the doctors who are working relentlessly to fight against COVID 19 resembles Lord Ganesha to a greater extent and he will too bless everyone and ward off the disease from the world and heal everyone from the situation.
The idol maker and artiste M.Sridhar said, "There is a huge drop in demand amidst COVID crisis."
"The markets that used to get flooded a fortnight before during the festival is now empty due to coronavirus."
"I have casted out Lord Ganesha's idol in a look of doctors because both are saviours of the mankind."
