"I am not a believer, but look at this: the entire burned field and look around the Little Virgin Mary" a man said regarding a video recorded with his cell phone of the event that he considered "miraculous."

In the midst of the grassland fires that continue to punish Santa Fe, Argentina, a field was completely burned except for a portion of grass on which there is a small altar with a cross.

The event occurred in a field in the argentine Santa Fe town of Armstrong. When alerted by a new fire, the Volunteer Firefighters in the area went to the grasslands on Route 9 and Provincial 178, 5 kilometers from the aforementioned town in the south of Santa Fe and 100 kilometers from tha city of Rosario.

After controlling the situation, the firefighters were surprised when they were analyzing the origin of the fire. It is that after the phenomenal disaster, they realized that a small altar with a cross not only survived the fire, but survived pristine: the flames did not even reach it. In front and behind, to its left and to its right, everything is burned. However, those few meters of grass that support the humble spiritual construction as if nothing had happened.

"It's inexplicable. The altar, which is a small chapel with a cross, painted white, was saved. All the dry grass that is there around them was left unburned", Armstrong Chief Fire Officer Germán Cechi said. “The fire was very close, but despite being white, the altar was not even smoked or affected by the ashes; totally intact”, he added.

Cechi reflected that "beyond whether one is religious, believe it or not, this has no explanation for us". The shock caused by this event was such that Armstrong's Catholic and religious community will pray a rosary next Saturday at the foot of the altar. Neighbors of the area considered the case as "miraculous": "It is a message from God, so that we are all more united."

The altar of miracle belongs to the memory of Natalia Romero: a young woman who lost her life at the age of 13 in a traffic accident that occurred in that area on September 27, 1997. After the fatal event, her parents asked the owners from the countryside set up this little chapel to remember their daughter. In dialogue with Tv, Hugo, Natalia's father, expressed: “I will never forget, it is something incredible; it's the first time I've seen a thing like this...".
