Hundreds of students demonstrated at Parliament Square in London on Sunday (August 16th) against the markdown of their predicted A-Level grades before marching to the Department For Education.

Many have had their university hopes dashed and fear that even if their results are reviewed they will not be able to attend their chosen universities.

London, August16th 2020. Hundreds of students demonstrated at Parliament Square in London against the markdown of their predicted A-Level grades before marching to the Department For Education. Many have had their university hopes dashed and fear that even if their results are reviewed they will not be able to attend their chosen universities. They claim that this situation is an attack on working class students who, because of bigger class sizes compared to private schools, which fared better via the algorithm that assessed their grades.
