This is the fascinating moment a female grasshopper carried a male on its back while they are mating.
Insect enthusiast Aisha Ehab found the creatures doing the reproductive act while hiking in Abha, Saudi Arabia.
At first, Aisha thought that it was a mother carrying her young, so she was amused when friends told her that they were actually mating.
She said: "I thought it was a mother and a baby, but they were mating all along my friends told me. Nature can be strange sometimes."
