A doctor in Vietnam extracts a live caterpillar from a man's ear in this grisly video from September 19.

According to Dr. Dong, the man arrived at his clinic in Bac Kan Province with complaints that his ear was itchy and sore.

After an examination, Dr. Dong discovered a cocoon in the man's ear canal, formed by a caterpillar.

Video footage of the procedure shows the cocoon being gripped and removed from inside the man's ear using forceps.

According to Dr. Dong, the cocoon did not leave any permanent damage.

According to the doctor, Dr. Dong said that The man came to his clinic and said his ear was sore and itchy.
After an examination, the doctor suddenly discovered a cocoon in the man's ear. The cocoon's nest is made from a caterpillar and has covered his ear canal.
The doctor quickly grabbed the cocoon's nest with a forceps from the man's ear.
The man was surprised to see that the cocoon was pulled from his ear. He feels itchy for about 5 days and then pain.
The doctor said the cocoon's nest did not damage his ears. Perhaps the worm thought his ear was a safe cave to nest.
