Hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets of central London on Friday (October 23) to continue protests against police brutality in Nigeria.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has said at least 69 people have been killed in protests in Nigeria over the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). Protesters are calling for further changes to the security forces and reforms to the way the country is run.

A group that has played a substantial role in organising the protests in Nigeria has now asked people to stay at home. Buildings have been set on fire and shopping centres looted since protesters were shot at in Lagos on Tuesday.

In the UK's capital, protesters gathered in front of the Nigerian High Commission which has now been splashed with fake blood. Marchers demanded Buhari step down and chanted "solidarity forever" & "no justice, no peace" as they marched to Buckingham Palace. Protesters stopped along the route to lie down in the road.
