Strong wind and rain from Typhoon Vamco battered Vietnam on Sunday (November 15).

The typhoon killed at least 63 people in the Philippines before moving eastwards and making landfall in Vietnam.

Footage filmed on Bang Beach in Hội An shows destruction caused by the typhoon with debris strewn across the beach.

The video showed crowds of people watching the coastline after the Vamco storm. The beach devastated and suffered severe landslides after the storm.

The footage was recorded at An Bang Beach, Hoi An City, Vietnam on November 15.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the storm was traveling with winds of up to 90 kph and made landfall in areas between Ha Tinh and Thua Thien-Hue before weakening into a tropical depression

Thousands evacuate as storm heads for Vietnam. Authorities of Danang City and the province of Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue have issued a curfew to ensure safety during the storm.

Airports and beaches have been closed and fishermen told to return to land as the country braces for winds of up to 100km/h

Vamco is November’s third and the year’s 13th storm to hit Vietnam.
