BEAVER FULL MOON SPACE STATION TRANSIT
ISS, the International Space Station , is caught flying across the "Beaver" Full Moon.
The ISS can often be seen flying across the sky but rarely precisely in front of the Moon unless you are at the right location at the right moment. The transit lasts only one second. Furthermore, before the transit, one can usually see ISS approach, but in this case ISS was invisible because it was inside Earth's shadow, not sunlit. So ISS only became briefly visible, just one second, as it was backlit by the Moon.
thanks to www.transit-finder.com it is possible to know in advance where and when you can see such space station transits.
the narrow path of visibility was near my home in southwestern Switzerland, only had to drive half an hour to reach a good spot with clear view, no clouds, above the fog in the low lands. Observed under totally clear skies from Buvette de Loutze , above Ovronnaz in Valais, Switzerland.
filmed initially in 4K 60fps, edited with cropzoom to downsize HD720, realtime then slow motion.
camera Canon EOS R6
lens Canon RF800, and x1.4 teleconverter.
60fps, f/16, ISO 320, 1/1000th sec. shutter.
edited to 30fps
