This was the moment a Florida driver captured a driver mount the curb and hit a tree resulting in debris including many beer cans to be strewn across the highway.

Footage from November 28 shows the incident in full where the speeding vehicle on the outside lane mounts the curb and smashes into a tree, sending the car flipping onto its roof in the middle of the road.

The filmer was driving on the highway, with their son driving in the vehicle ahead.

The filmer told Newsflare: "Honestly it happened so fast.

"The driver climbed out of the window and said he was okay.

"He then pulled the passenger out of the window before I knew it and she said she was okay too.

"I got on with 911 right away and my son let me know his family were okay.

"All in all things were about as calm as they could have been."

Worried about their son, they said: "Initially he wasn't sure that I was okay, he came around pretty quickly to check on me.

"Then he went and checked on the driver and passenger.

"His family was in the car so we sent them home and my son and I waited for the police and rescue to arrive."

Not knowing the state of the driver and passenger in the wrecked vehicle they explained: "There were a lot of beer cans rolling around the street from his truck and he smelled distinctly like beer.

"They both initially said they were okay and were walking around but they were taken to the hospital."

Driver jumped median curb then hit a tree. Truck rolled andspilled contents across street including beer cans.
