A clowder of fishing cats join their owner every day to catch fish in Surat Thani, southern Thailand.

Footage shows the cats on a boat waiting for their owner to set sail and to assist him on catching fish on November 28.

The cat-loving fisherman Wasan Duangmanee, 61, said he has 42 cats which all adopted and almost all of them love tagging along with him.

He said: ''All of my cats were once strays, which I felt sorry for, so I adopted them and before I realised I now have 42 of them.

“They all love to go out fishing with me as they can catch food as a reward. There was one time that 20 of them went along with me and it was a interesting ride.''

He added that each cat would have a different role on the boat and they a big help to him.

He said: ''The orange one Thongyord will normally be the captain standing on the front while the rest will help me pull the net or sometimes they would also cry when they saw the fish.''
