The Indonesian government requires a Rapid Antigen or PCR Swab Test for people who will travel for the Christmas and New Year 2021 holidays because based on the recapitulation data collected by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force in Medan, North Sumatra.

The accumulation of Covid-19 sufferers until December 21, 2020 reached 17,353 sufferers which has been ascertained from the results of the PCR swab examination.
Of the many sufferers, 14,602 people have been declared cured and 655 died. The remaining sufferers who are currently registered as active Covid-19 sufferers in North Sumatra, amounting to 2,096 people. From this figure, 1,520 patients carried out independent isolation and 576 other patients were treated in hospital isolation.

Chairperson of the Indonesian Anthropology Association, Vina Khairina, said, this activity is a form of community service by the Ulama and Umaro Communication Forum in collaboration with the Medan City Health Office, and PT Kereta Api Indonesia, to maintain safety in the Medan Area, in the form of a Swab Test considering the many cases happens, so that if there are residents who are exposed to Covid19 can be isolated independently, Hopefully for this activity we will in the future consolidate to contact patients so that they can isolate independently in the handling of covid19 in the Covid19 Pandemic./Kartik Byma
