20-year-old Hunter had gone his entire life without seeing color until this magical moment captured on Christmas Day, 2020 in Bountiful, Colorado.

Hunter’s mother, Debbie Wright-Walter, learned about his colorblindness early on as he was having trouble recognizing colors as a child. However, it wasn’t until several years later that a mix up with color-coded keys at the auto dealership where Hunter worked made her and the rest of the family realize they needed to do something.

The family decided to band together and chip in for a pair of glasses that would help Hunter overcome his colorblindness and when Hunter was surprised with the gift on Christmas Day, his reaction was priceless.

Speaking about the video, Debbie said: “We learned early on that my youngest son, Hunter, was colorblind when he was having trouble learning his colors. However, fast forward to 2020 and my son is now 20 years old in the working world and recently told our family a story of how his colorblindness almost got him in trouble at work.

As soon as my other children and their significant others heard that story, it really made us all think how difficult it must be to not see colors in the same way as most everyone else. We had heard of these glasses that allow people that are colorblind to see colors so we all chipped in for them to surprise for Christmas. For our family, that was probably one of the best gifts we have ever given anyone.”"

He started working at a new automotive company where he helps clean cars up to get them ready to be sold. What Hunter didn't realize because of his colorblindness is that the tag he was adding was red or green. The red tag was for cars that hadn't been cleaned yet and the green ones were for clean ones.
