A Hong Kong man says he is engaged to a silicone sex doll – even giving her expensive gifts such as an iPhone 12.

Xie Tianrong, 36, lives with his parents and his unusual ‘girlfriend’ – a life-size doll manufactured in neighbouring China.

After making an online order and receiving the doll in October 2019, Xie devoted all of his attention to the sex toy which he fondly called ‘Mochi.’

Xie said he found that he was attracted to realistic dolls ten years ago when he walked past a store in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong’s energetic retail heart.

He said: ‘A doll cost 80,000 yuan at that time, so I had to dispel my thoughts as I could not afford her.

‘But in 2019, I found a silicone doll on the internet that was on sale and cost about 10,000 yuan so I ordered it.’

Xie said that he was ‘engaged’ to Mochi earlier this month in a ceremony attended by friends and family.

He added he had never ‘violated’ Mochi even once and doesn’t try to kiss her, as he’s afriad the saliva’s acidity might damage the doll’s sensitive skin.

Every night, Mochi sits on a chair by his bed while he sleeps and he bathes her with a damp cloth before applying talcum powder.

Xie said: ‘I respect Mochi and only want her as a companion. I have had human girlfriends before but I am only attracted to dolls now. I have never had sex with her.’

The doll fanatic claimed real girlfriends always ask him for something, but Mochi demands nothing from him so ‘she is easier to date’.

He said: ‘When me and my previous girlfriend were together, she was always staring at her phone, but with Mochi it’s different. She will concentrate and give me all her attention.’

Xie buys expensive gifts such as phones and pretty clothes for Mochi so he can dress her up before taking cute couple pictures.

The doll now owns more than 20 sets of expensive clothing and 10 pairs of shoes.

During festivals, the strange couple will do photoshoots at home wearing different matching costumes.

Xie said that people stare whenever he takes his silicone girlfriend out for shopping, but he said he doesn’t care.

He said: ‘If I can rate Mochi out of 100, I would give her 1000! Ever since she came home and lived with me for more than a year, it was never stressful, it’s always happiness.’

Xie’s love for the silicone doll was so intense that even Mochi’s manufacturer even invited him to the factory and gave him an extra silicone head as a gift.
