Amusing footage shows a guilty dog refusing to face his owner who was scolding him for tearing the sofa.

The pooch sat on the corner of the house while his owner, Ann Leus, reprimanded him in Navotas City in Manila, the Philippines on February 12.

Ann said she was shocked upon entering the living room and finding pieces of broken foam from their newly-bought sofa scattered on the floor.

She said: ‘We let our pets feel that they did something wrong by communicating and not by beating. I scolded him and he was like a child who knew he was at fault.

‘After making sure that he felt our anger, we gave him his favourite dish and he was okay after that.’
