Heroic TikToker follows distressed woman who flees moving car
Imagine just driving along and seeing a situation like the one Michael Shackelford saw.
Imagine saying the following to a 911 operator.
“I’m following them, She’s screaming and kicking, she’s trying to get out! He sped up so she’s couldn’t! She jumped out! She jumped out!”
This is the heart-pulsing scene in San Antonio, Texas as a heroic filmer follows a woman who appeared to be in distress and the situation turned unbelievable as she screams, kicks, and eventually jumps out of the moving vehicle on May 26.
“He was hitting me,” the distraught woman said to Shackelford as he honked his horn and told the woman to get in his truck.
The man identified as her husband drove off.
Shackelford was following along this San Antonio highway when he spotted something unusual and knew he had to follow along to help, calling a 911 dispatcher and giving pinpoint directions in his pursuit of this random stranger's safety with no concerns of his own.
The young woman, whose identity is remaining anonymous for her own safety, is safe after she was taken to local police, according to Shackelford.
He's asking for donations to women's shelters in the area to prevent instances of domestic violence.
