Goodyear Blimp soars above London skyline for first time in decade
The Goodyear Blimp, a 75 meter-long airship paid a visit to London on Wednesday, June 30 after flying over the English Channel and across the county of Kent.
The airships were originally built for military use and are now used mainly for providing aerial coverage at sports events and advertising.
After circling central London for four hours, the blimp drifted away back over the Channel to Calais, ready to return for another trip on Thursday, this time visiting the south coast.
