Doctors in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, are working to identify a strain of dengue fever that has killed more than 60 people in the area.

Footage from September 15 shows queues of patients being admitted into a ward.

A team of 10 doctors was sent to the area to investigate the rising cases of the viral fever.

According to The Times of India, the outbreak has resulted in 130 deaths with 99 of them being children.

Cases of mystery fever continue to severely hit in several parts of North India and some other states . Mostly children are victims of this fever .

The Indian Council Of Medical Research ( ICMR) has confirmed that the DEN-V-2 variant of dengue is causing the illness. Several parts of Uttar Pradesh - including Agra and Prayagraj are witnessing a massive spike in cases.

More than 60 people - manely kids in less than a month - have died due to the fever in Firozabad. Meanwhile, the fever has also affected children in several parts of Bengal and has left at least 7 kids dead in Haryana's Palwal district in just 3 weeks .

In Firozabad medical college around 500 children are admitted and around 100 adults due to this outbreak .

According to medical Experts and authorities poor sanitation and crowding has led to the transmission of this variant.
