Huge outbreak of dengue fever in many cities of Uttar Pradesh, India

Dengue fever is considered a year-round and nationwide risk in India, with the highest risk typically June-September. Authorities reported approximately 177,695 cases nationwide in 2021 and 32,796 cases in 2020. A dengue fever vaccine is available in some countries.
States such as New Delhi, West Bengal, Telangana, Uttarakhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh have reported a spike in dengue cases in the past few days. Cases of vector-borne diseases are usually reported between July and November during the monsoon season, sometimes stretching till mid-December.
