Turkish-owned cargo ship runs aground in Black Sea off coast of Bulgaria

A Turkish-owned cargo ship has run aground near a Bulgarian nature reserve on the Black sea coast.

The 83-meter-long vessel VERA SU hit the rocks near the popular park in Bulgaria.

There are no spills or injuries reported, according to local media.

According to marinetraffic.com, the ship left the port of Yuzhne in Ukraine on September 18 headed for Varna, Bulgaria.

The vessel is flying the Panamian flag and is owned by a Turkish company, according to the Equasis maritime register.

The crew are sailors from Turkey and Azerbaijan.
