Youth Led A Climate Strike Protest At Parliament Of South Africa in Cape Town

A youth led a climate strike protest took place at the gates of the South African Parliament in Cape Town earlier today.
The Protesters wave placards calling for the cease of use of fossil fuels and nuclear energy.
A memorandum was handed to a representative from the South African government wherein a number of demands were outlined. Amongst them ceasing of investment in fossil fuels and inclusion of climate change in the basic education curriculum in the country.
Todays protest is part of a week long protest accross the country, the focus being on the Department of Minerals and energy who is responsible for licencing LNG ship based power stations operated by KarpowSA.
