Ratnabai Ramchandra may be 70 years old but that doesn't stop her from heading off every day to her garage where she repairs cars, bicycles and other vehicles.

Ramchandra from the Sangli district of Maharashtra is the family's main bread-winner and uses the money she earns to care for her disabled son and husband.

She learned her trade by watching her husband do the same work until poor health forced him to retire.

Many locals are inspired by her determination and show their support by always bringing their vehicles to Ramchandra for puncture repairs and other minor work.

Ramchandra says she earns between 300 and 350 rupees a day which is less than five US dollars.

Age is not a factor for this 70 year old women named Ratnabai Ramchandra , her grit and energy is such that at an old age of 70 years she works as a mechanic and runs a shop repairing automobiles and punctures
Ratnabai who is a resident of Sangli district of Maharashtra runs a puncture shop on her own . She looks after her disabled son and husband , she is a sole earner of the family .
Seeing her grit and determination some vehicle owners specially come to her shop for their vehicle problem . She is running this shop from last many years . Ratnabai tells that first this shop was run by my husband , she adds that she learnt the work seeing her husband working at shop , but now his husband health not allows so he run this shop .
