Family and friends of Billy Hood gathered on Saturday (October 16) in Parliament Square to appeal for his 25-year prison sentence to be dropped.

Hood, who lives and works in Dubai, was charged with possession of drugs after police found four bottles of CBD vape oil in his car.

The Brit from West London says he was forced to sign a confession in Arabic after being subjected to beatings and torture with tasers.

Whilst CBD oil is legal in the UK, as it contains 0.02% of the cannabis derivative and no psychoactive effects, it is not in the UAE where authorities impose the harshest sentences for those convicted of drug possession.
