Palestinian boy Samih al Madhoun, 14, plays the oud and sings at his home
RESTRICTION SUMMARY: Gaza, 26 October 2021. Palestinian boy Samih al Madhoun, 14, plays the oud and sings at his home in Gaza city.
0.1 SOUNDBITE (in Arabic) Samih al Madhoun.
STORYLINE:
Samih Al-Madhoun, a Palestinian child with a golden throat and talent for composing.
With great love and passion, the child artist Samih Al-Madhoun (14 years old) carries an oud, and begins composing and singing with his golden throat, inside his home in Gaza City.
al-Madhoun said that the passion for singing and composing is a talent that I worked a lot on developing and bringing it to the world.
He continued, "I have about 45 melodies, which were used by poets outside Palestine, including the song Watan al-Shajaan, which was composed and sung by the artist Ali Abdel Sattar, and the words of the poet Maarouf Mahmoud."
The journey of Samih's attempts to convey his voice to the world began with The Voice Kids competition, which he traveled to Egypt to participate in, but he was not lucky to win.
Samih tries to convey his voice through social networking sites, where he publishes videos and clips of his voice and melodies, to receive great interaction and admiration and encouragement to continue from a large number of followers.
He aspires to reach universality despite the difficult conditions in the Gaza Strip, and to have a special album of his tunes, especially since his passion is focused on composing and playing rather than singing.
