Amazing footage as squall line crosses near Alappuzha, Kerala, India
Jeev Dain Varughese captured this footage on his iPhone.
"A calm humid and sunny day turned to a violent stormy evening, with the formation of an unexpected squall line. Although pulse thunderstorms are quite common here in tropics, squall lines are outlier. This storm exhibits a beast structure with well marked shelf clouds and rare roll clouds along its leading edge of outflow boundary. The Squall Line formed in a very high unstable atmosphere with large amount of instability favours system growth and sufficient directional wind shear helps to feed the system with more moisture."
