Mum goes viral with 900,000 views sharing hilarious video of toddler coated head-to-toe in Sudocrem
A mum has shared a hilarious video of the moment she walked into her daughter's room to find she had coated herself in Sudocrem.
Mum Alba McGuinness, 26, from Dublin, Ireland, made the age-old mistake of leaving her toddler daughter Evie, three, unattended with a tub of the thick white cream, often used for nappy rash.
"I put her pjs on, put some Sudocrem on her and put her to bed and went for a shower," Alba said.
"When I came out she was being suspiciously quiet so I checked her room and found her in bed like this with the jumbo tub of cream beside her, as well as all over the walls, floor, sheets and bed guard.
"When I opened her bedroom door she was practically glowing from how white she was - she had about six layers of it on her."
After realising what had happened, hairdresser Alba grabbed her phone to take a quick video of her daughter coated head-to-toe and couldn't hold back the laughter.
She said: "She is ALWAYS doing things like this, can’t take your eyes off her for a second.
"It was honestly a rookie mistake forgetting the cream in her room! She keeps me on my toes.
"I couldn’t hold the laughter in. I called her dad up to see her and we were both in tears, it was probably the funniest thing she’s ever done.
"We laughed so much we couldn’t even give out to her."
The mum then had the task of cleaning the cream up, which she admits is taking some time.
She said:"Three fairy liquid showers later it’s only starting to come out of her hair now.
"My walls floors and bedsheets are a lost cause. The dog even had some on his head this morning!"
Alba posted the clip on Twitter and it's already been viewed 900,000 times and liked over 30,000 times, with other parents sharing their own experiences of accidentally leaving something out with their little ones.
One said: "OMG this is brilliant. That will be a nightmare to get off. No where near as funny as this but I remember my son pouring the whole full tub of talc all over his bedroom when he was little and he was having a whale of a time playing in it like it was sand!! X" [sic]
Another added: "I was this child! Head to toe, and apparently my delightful reaction was 'I'm a snowman!' Still hearing about it. It's that look of satisfaction on her face, just brilliant!"
A third said: "I once picked up my once 3 year old son from nursery and left him to his own devices. The feeling of dread hit me after a few minutes. I went to check on him to be met with a grease petroleum covered monster. I was weak with anger." [sic]
Someone else wrote: "Ha...when our first girl was this age we'd let her watch tele in the morning to keep her quiet....to quiet one morning she'd covered the tele in Suncream." [sic]
A fifth added: "Absolutely hilarious, and the innocent look at the end. Brilliant stuff."
