A paragliding instructor made a 'flying sword' to fulfill his dream in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Changsha in Hunan Province on January 18 shows a 30-year-old man named Liu Bojun standing on a sword-shaped board hanging on a paraglide while paragliding in the sky.

Liu is a paragliding instructor and he was taking part in a paraglide makeover competition held by his company.

Liu said he saw characters on a flying sword in TV dramas and came up with an idea to adapt paraglide into a flying sword.

The sword is made of plastic and weighed more than 5 kg. Liu also spent around 400 yuan (£47) to buy the ancient costumes online.

Liu flew on the sword at least 200-metres-high in the sky for around one minute.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
