This is the amusing moment a hungry customer carried on eating their barbecue amid a raging storm in Thailand.

Strong winds and heavy rain were battering Chiang Mai province on February 9, but the inclement weather was not enough to stop the ravenous man from eating his meal.

Video shows the diner covering his head with cloth as violent gales lashed the restaurant.

Onlooker Somphop Settamat said: 'No heavy rain would stop the boy from eating. I guess he was very hungry, or the food was good.'

The ants seen in the video are believed to be of the species Eciton hamatum, which form 'living' bridges across 'breaks and gaps in the forest floor that allow their famously large raiding swarms to travel efficiently'.
