A six-day blockade at the Ambassador Bridge prevented billions worth of goods from travelling between Canada and the United States, according to experts.

The flow of traffic resumed on Monday (February 14) after the protesters against vaccine mandates and other COVID-19 measures blocked the international crossing between Windsor, Ontario and Detroit in the USA.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday (February 14) took the unprecedented step of invoking the Emergencies Act to give his government enhanced authority in response to the anti-vaccine mandate protests gripping Canada.
