Blake Dixon took two days during snowy weather top construct his own igloo complete with heater and a TV.

The South Euclid, Ohio native took advantage of the cold blizzards during late January to create his winter wonder-home.

Friend of Blake's, Jamila Demore captured some of the engineering brilliance as she recorded herself walking into the packed ice corridor into the main room of the igloo.

Once inside, Blake had planted some chairs, carved out some shelves and had already begun work on the extension.

In another clip, Blake had set the television complete with a fire that was surrounded by foil to reflect the heat inwards instead of melting the walls of his newly built hangout spot.

Blake said: "I spend two full days building it and it took me a couple hours throughout the week to detail it with interior designs and build a chimney after work.

"I am hoping that it last into March, Mother nature knows for sure but I can make it last longer with maintenance and with icing it over every week."

Blake was able to carve out the main room after pilling up six feet of snow in the igloo shape he desired, then repeated to extend the standing height.

A similar technique was used for the additional room then bricks and blocks of snow helped link the two structures together.

Blake continued: "After completion, I splashed water on the sides of the structure to give it extra strength after it freezes and I furnished the place.

"I carved in shelfs in the inside to hold items like candles and a TV and made a snow bed and snowfa (sofa) to sleep and sit on.

"It was a success!"
