A mechanical engineering student from India's Maharashtra has created a vintage-style car from scratch in only two months during the country's lockdown.

Footage filmed in Nimbhari shows Yuvraj Janardhan Pawar building the vehicle himself and then test driving the final product on November 24.

He single-handedly designed the car, gathered all the required parts, and assembled the car.

The four-seater vintage car runs on a Pulsar 150cc engine and ican be driven at 70 kilometres per hour (43.50 mph).

After the success of his first production, he now aspires to manufacture more such cars at cheap prices for people who are unable to afford such luxuries.

Speaking to local media Yuvraj said: "When I went on a trip to Rajasthan, I saw royal cars in the museum there.

"At that time, I thought that my parents should also travel in such royal cars and I tried to make this for them."

A boy, identified as Yuvraj Janardhan Pawar, manufactured a vintage car from scratch in western India's Maharashtra. The car was under production for two months at Yuvraj's residence in the village of Nimbhari in the Ahmednagar district.

Visuals witnessing the making and working of the car feature Yuvraj cruising the streets of his locality in his brand-new, self-made white vintage car. Apart from its distinctive structure, the detailing and precision with which the car is designed, makes it stand out on the streets.

The test drive of the car features Yuvraj driving the skeleton of the vehicle, while a couple of his friends push the structure from behind. They test the engine and the reverse feature of the vehicle following which Yuvraj proceeds to perfect the production.

Reluctant to sit idle, Yuvraj

He single-handedly designed the car, gathered all the required parts, and assembled the car. Being a mechanical engineering student, he did not have much trouble assembling the car. His brother would also come out now and then to help him with his progress.
 
After working his sweat and blood for two months into the vehicle, it is finally ready to cruise the roads. The vintage car is complete with updated features such as a remote control to start and shut the engine, gears, powerful lights, an automatic bonnet system, and soft cushioned seats.

The four-seater vintage car runs on a Pulsar 150 cc (cubic capacity) engine and is capable of being driven at 70 kmph (43.50 mph). However, functioning the reverse feature on a two-wheeler engine was one of the biggest obstacles that Yuvraj overcame.

After the success of his first production, Yuvraj now aspires to manufacture more such cars at cheap prices for people who are unable to afford such luxuries.
