A mum has been left stunned after discovering a second grape growing inside the grape she had given her son to eat.

Gemma Blix, 38, from Wimbledon, UK, gave her 9-year-old son James some grapes as a snack after purchasing a punnet from her local supermarket.

But she was stunned when her son pointed out something rather odd about one of the grapes – it had a second fruit growing inside of it.

“It was an immediate surprise on James’ face when he realised it was overly juicy,” Blix, who works in a nursery, said.

“He couldn’t believe his eyes.

“He showed me and I was just as shocked as had never seen that in a grape.

“The years I’ve been cutting grapes to keep kids safe from choking – never once have I seen this!”

Taking to Facebook to share her find, Blix said: “Pretty amazed right now. Feels like a rare find… (or not).

“Anyone else bitten into a grape and found another grape inside (other fruit/veg available)?”
