Laddu Holi played in Barsane, the city of Radha Rani
Holi celebrations in Braj begin earlier than other regions. In this sequence, on March 10, Holi of Laddu was played at Shreeji Mandir of Barsana, the city of Radha Rani ( Mathura) and the next day on March 11, Friday, Lathmar Holi would be played.
Before playing Holi, laddus are offered to Ladliji in Shreeji temple and then laddus are showered on the devotees who come for darshan and play Holi. About 40 to 50 tons of laddus are showered to play this Holi.
People from all over the world come to see the Holi of Braj because Holi is not only played with colors, but laddus, flowers and Lathmar Holi are also played here.
