The aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth the Royal Navy's fleet flagship which is part of the UK Carrier Strike Group arrived in Liverpool today.


At 280-metre and weighing 65,000-tonne she is the largest warship ever built for Britain and is one of two aircraft carriers along with her sister ship HMS Prince of Wales.

Tug boats could be seen assisting HMS Queen Elizabeth down the Mersey, where it berthed at the City of Liverpool Cruise Terminal and is due to leave after a four day stay.
