Elephants begin fighting during performance for audience at tourist hotspot in China
Two elephants began fighting during a performance at a tourist hotspot in southwestern China.
Video filmed in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province on April 2 shows an elephant using its tusks to attack another elephant.
Other elephants were seen walking away and workers were trying to separate the two fighting elephants.
A worker was also heard asking audiences to leave repeatedly via the broadcast.
A witness said the employees at Xishuangbanna Wild Elephant Valley apologised to the tourists and comforted the elephants with fruit. The performance continued later.
The employees at the wild elephant valley said the reason behind the altercation was unknown but it did not affect its business.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
