A woman attempted to steal groceries from a shop by hiding them in a stroller in northwestern China.

Video filmed in the city of Xining in Qinghai Province on April 20 shows a baby running out of a shop with two lollipops and their mother chasing after them.

The mother was heard saying: "Two yuan."

The shop owner then asked: "Do you have other items you need to pay for?"

"No. Only two yuan," the mother replied.

Then the shop owner said: "I will call the police."

The mother then started to take some items out of her stroller.

Since the woman kept denying it and did not take all the groceries attempted to steal, the shop owner called the police.

The police took the woman and the child away and the case is under further investigation.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
