Woman 'steals gallon of vegetable oil' while shopkeeper fiddles with phone
A woman appeared to have been caught on camera stealing a gallon of cooking oil in southeastern China.
CCTV footage taken in Pingxiang City, Jiangxi province on November 13 shows the alleged thief pretending to browse through the shop while the storekeeper was hunched over her phone. Upon seeing her distracted, the woman snuck out of the shop while appearing to be carrying the goods.
The shopkeep appeared not to notice the incident after the lady left but spotted it when he noticed stock missing and reviewed the CCTV footage.
