Outsourced London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine workers rally following suspension of four people for 'peaceful protest'
Members of the Independent Workers' of Great Britain Union (IWGB) rallied outside the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) to protest a discriminatory pay structure.
Following a protest by porters, cleaners and security guards on the 21st April, at least four people of Latin descent have been suspended pending investigation.
During the protest, a group of around 30 entered the building in order to deliver a letter to management when the university alledges violence took place, which the union strongly refutes and has provided video evidence.
In an independent review conducted last year, the LSHTM was found to have problems with 'structural racism'.
The protest later moved to University College London where a cleaner was falsely accused of stealing and sacked.
