Two hikers came across a cow blocking their path in the Cotswolds, UK, who just wanted to be stroked.

Susan filmed as they approached the animal not knowing if it would be aggressive.

"Having heard stories about cows being aggressive to humans, we were slightly trepidatious on seeing a cow in the middle of the footpath ahead on a field on the Cotswolds Way trail," she told Newsflare.

The hikers managed to get close to the cow when they realised it was friendly and didn't mind being stroked. The bovine even licks the filmer's leg.

So they approach cautiously, hoping the cow will get out of the way, but the cow stays put. The woman filming (me) greets the cow to show she doesn’t mean it any harm, and it turns out to be very friendly. It allows itself to be stroked, and then licks one of my legs!
