Timelapse of Cumulus clouds behind a giant historic coal mining machine in West Yorkshire
Timelapse captured this evening 1st June at RSPB St Aidan's Nature Park in Swillington near Leeds. The timelapse shows Cumulus clouds whizzing by a preserved historic mining machine known as "Oddball" Oddball is a Bucyrus Erie 1150 Walking Dragline that once worked here on the former St Aidan's Open Cast Coal Site (OCCS) After the mine closed, the machine was saved and preserved by a group of enthusiasts known as Friends of St Aidan's BE 1150 Walking Dragline. The group normally hold a number of open days throughout the year to allow members of the public to have a look inside the giant coal mining machine. The last open day was post Covid and future open days have been cancelled until further notice.
