Grieving bride consoled at wedding with wax statue of deceased father
A bride from southern India missed her late father so much that the family commissioned a waxwork of the man so that he would be present at her wedding.
According to the family, the man's only dream was to see his second daughter married but he was robbed of that opportunity when he died in 2021.
His daughter was deeply affected by the loss and couldn't imagine going ahead with the wedding without her beloved father.
Footage captured in the Kallakurichi district of Tamil Nadu on June 3 showed a garlanded statue seated at the nuptials surrounded by family and other guests.
The bride and groom even sought blessings from the waxwork.
The family claimed the statue did the trick and cheered the bride up immensely on her big day.
